The Lernaean Hydra
Second, Hercules traveled to the city of Lerna to slay the nine-headed Hydra-a poisonous, snake-like creature who lived underwater, guarding the entrance to the Underworld. For this task, Hercules had the help of his nephew Iolaus. He cut off each of the monster’s heads while Iolaus burned each wound with a torch. This way, the pair kept the heads from growing back.

The Ceryneian Hind
Next, Hercules set off to capture the sacred pet of the goddess Diana: a red deer, or hind, with golden antlers and bronze hooves. After catching the animal, Heracles devised a plan. He said that Eurystheus himself should come to take the animal from him. The king started walking towards the hind, but Heracles purposefully left the hind loose and the deer escaped with its unnatural speed and went back to its goddess.

The Erymanthian Boar
Heracles' fourth labour was to capture the Boar. Heracles had visited Chiron (Centaur famous for his teaching ability) to gain advice on how to catch the boar, and Chiron had told him to drive it into thick snow, which sets this Labour in mid-winter. Having successfully caught the Boar, Heracles bound it and carried it back to Eurystheus.
